Henceforth I ask not good fortune. I myself am good fortune.
After you have exhausted what there is in business, politics, conviviality, and so on - have found that none of these finally satisfy, or permanently wear - what remains? Nature remains.
I exist as I am, that is enough.
Trying to stay awake.
You were sending sound advise from afar.
It comes and it goes.

Rigby and I are slowly getting acclimated to our new surroundings. We couldn’t have picked a better time to move because spring time in Portland has proven to be quite beautiful. Just look at these Camellias. ✨ The same tree is blooming white and red flowers.

The cat is kind of already out of the bag but for those who are still in the dark, I’ve decided to move! It was probably obvious to some of you, the fact that I’ve been giving away my plants. Thank you to all that responded to my posts! It makes me happy seeing my plant friends going into good homes. :) It’s actually been weird to me that I’ve lived here for so long because when growing up I moved around quite frequently. I grew up in a military family where nowhere but at the same time everywhere felt like home. I’ve moved from the US to Germany, Japan, and back again. Having stayed in Ohio for about 11 years now has been the longest and it grew comfortable to me. But that comfort has slowly become a crutch that I’ve grown accustom to lean on. It’s been keeping me from being curious and discovering new things. I think traveling across the US last year really opened my eyes to the possibilities and really had me excited for something new. It’s been long overdue but it’s my time. Columbus has been good to me. I’m glad to have gotten to know the people I did, was given such great opportunities to grow, and could call this place home for so many years. To all my friends here, thank you and see you out there soon.💛
Things are getting froggy over here. Another one of my favorite trade cards out of my collection.
It’s a happy mail day. 👋
Logo I did for @thewildflowerenthusiast Sam makes beautiful flower crowns with some flowers I grew up picking in my grandmother’s garden. I loved working on this project and getting the chance to learn some wildflower names. Sam and @alliepal will be teaming up on April 6th for a flower crown portrait day! Sign up to wear one of Sam’s crowns and get your picture professional taken by Allie.
I can’t get over how dreamy these photos are that @alec_rossborough took. I regret not getting a photo of him as he took this crouched down in some uncomfortable bushes. 😂 Seeing the dedication it took in getting this ethereal moment had me inspired.
Looking forward. Photos by: @alec_rossborough
I’m really sad to be leaving today. It gets harder ever time and I always seem to tear up even when knowing it’s only temporary. Time always seems to fly by but while out here I try to remember to slow down and be appreciative of the time I do get. Whether it’s spending it at the coast, enjoying a good meal or spending all of @joshuaminnich money on the coin pusher game at the arcade, time spent with these guys is always so special to me. I couldn’t pick a better group of people to treasure my time with. Photographed by the very talented: @alec_rossborough
